Reg. squid in Reverse-proxy mode

Hi,
   I am syam.
   I am not sure if this is the forum , i can raise this question.
   But this was my last resort. Here's my problem.

 I have been asked by my company to implement a HTTP reverse-proxy.
Somebody guided me to go through the squid source code, as Squid can run
in Reverse-proxy mode, like Apache web server.
But i couldn't locate the related code. I have the following code base.
  SQUID-2.2.STABLE1

Can you give me pointers to the code that lets squid run in Reverse
proxy mode.
