Are you using non-blocking IO to the mySQL server? If you are not, then
you will have a performance impact unless you put the mySQL calls into
another thread or process.

I've added your usercode to the sourceforge user list. Be very sure to
read the devel.squid-cache.org/CVS.html page before you do any branch
creation - we have scripts that you need to use.
