I believe that Netscape's security rules say that Java applets can only
open connections back to the site that they came from. I'd guess
Netscape feels that the Java program came from the proxy machine - so
wants to restrict it to connect there.
Yuck yuck yuck. Suggest you report this horrible oversight to Netscape.
