In regards to ftp, i notice that the ftp tags in the squid.conf have
changed in beta9 from previous versions, eg:
        ftpget_options -c 3:3 -l 3:30 -r 3:3 -p http://www.iacom.com.au/icons/ -s .gif

is now:

        cache_ftp_options -c 3:3 -l 3:30 -r 3:3 -p http://www.iacom.com.au/icons/ -s .gif

This includes the path to the ftpget program, which may explain why
FTP no longer works (can't find the binary).
