Hi,
Were using Squid Version 1.0.xx here at the Institution, on Linux 2.0.22.
This works very well for sometimes...
But by now the load is that high, that our Linux-Box runs out of
Filedescriptors.
Does anyone has experiance in how to increase the maximum number of
open filedescriptors from 256 to 2048. I know this has to be some changes
in kernel sources and recompilation.
I tried hard to find the right places and changed fs.h and limit.h ... and
recompiled .... but crash !!!!
If anybody has real knowledge about this subject ..... please answer !!
Best regards
