I was finished with compiling squid v1.1.0 on my Solaris 2.4 machine and
was about to run it today.
When I started the squid, however, there was no squid.pid file left in any
directory and the squid wouldn't accept any retrieving request. Did I do
something wrong? Following is what the cache.log said when it started:

For your information, I've been running squid V1.0.20 for a while on the
same machine.
TIA.
