Yes, I have done it this way. I have a Linux machine with a 1 GB and
a 2 GB disk, each one cut into four partitions. Since I only needed
250 MB for the OS, I divided each partition in the 2 GB disk (500 MB
each) into two subdirs, so I have 250 MB of granularity in specifying
the cache_dir's.
