I have several squid 1.2.beta11 caches runing and decided to apply the
latest
patches. Three out of five applied cleanly. The other two gave me this
"error" and I can find no difference in the sources. I first did a make
clean
then the patch command. I even tried ereasing the release untaring
again and
it gave me the same results. More than anything else I'm curious as to
why.

Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option?
