Ok, here is what I have now:

constellation:/usr/src/squid-2.0.RELEASE# ulimit -a
core file size (blocks) 2097151
data seg size (kbytes) unlimited
file size (blocks) 1048576
max locked memory (kbytes) unlimited
max memory size (kbytes) unlimited
open files 3000
pipe size (512 bytes) 8
stack size (kbytes) 8192
cpu time (seconds) unlimited
max user processes 256
virtual memory (kbytes) unlimited

What about hte max user processes? That's not going to be a bottleneck is
it?
