I'm considering disabling Squid's (2.2S5) logging to store.log to
reduce competition for the disk. Squid's log files are written to the
same (IDE disk) partition as the Squid cache.
I'm concerned that writing the access.log and store.log files is
increasing the latency in reading from the cache. Access.log is
too valuable to disable. I don't look at store.log too often, though,
so this seems OK to eliminate.
Any thoughts on the advisability of doing this?
