For first time chek /usr/local/squid/etc/squid.conf file ..
Find out two variables
acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
http_access deny all
and change to
acl src your_local_net/your_local_mask
http_access allow all
next step it is chek out FAQ and users guide.
