[SQU] Process

Hi all,

i am using RH Linux 6.2 and Squid 2.3s4 , when i do
ps -ax |grep squid , i find the following:

8061 ? SW 0:00 [squid]
8062 ? D 2477:30 (squid)

i need to know what is this 'SW' and 'D' means and
what is this '2477:30' shows, sometimes i found 'R'
instead of 'D' what is that.
