[squid-users] "Connection timed out" problem

When trying to test fresh installation of Squid proxy from lynx browser,
message "HTTP request sent; waiting for response" appears and after long
wait "Connection timed out" error is reported. This happens no matters of
site that I'm trying to access to (i.e. sites are reachable by ping). I've
raised debug level but nothing informative appears in Squid logs. Any help
here?
