You are using the acl statements incorrectly. See the squid FAQ or users
guide. It hasn't been update to 2.5 yet, as that is not released, but
_everything_ is the same, with the single exception being that
authenticate_foo value
becomes auth_param basic foo value

Hi list
I working in Linux Red Hat 7.1 with squid 2.5 DEVEL and I try to
autenticate users
I have installed NCSA and PAM in /usr/local/squid/bin/
my squid.conf contain the follows lines
 
auth_param basic program /usr/local/squid/bin/ncsa_auth
/usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
acl sex_users proxy_auth "/usr/local/squid/etc/passwd"
acl work_users proxy_auth "/usr/local/squid/etc/passwd"
acl sex_sites dstdomain "/tmp/sex_sites"
acl work_sites dstdomain "/tmp/dstdomain"
 
the prompt appear but when I put the username and password do not
validate
I have generate password and users with htpasswd in
/usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
I donīt know what is the problem
please some help ....
