[squid-users] a different ssl port & squid configuration

Hello All,

Using Squid v2.4.STABLE2

Recently we needed to access a website that does not use a
standard ssl port. In order to access the website, we
added the port to our firewall and then listed the port to
the acl:

acl SSL_ports 443 xxxx
http_access deny SSL !SSL_ports
http_access deny CONNECT !SSL_ports
 
My question is, were we correct in the way we configured
squid to access the website using SSL and an odd port?

Is there a better way to configure squid to access a
website with odd ssl port?
