I have tried this recently... and not acheived major results at all.
The trend antivirus thing tends to be a bit sluggish ......
you will also have to add deny_direct rules in your config

Subject: [squid-users] Interscan Antivirus
Hi guys,
Well as I said last week I am new to squid, so sorry if my question is
stupid.
I choosed to use Interscan VirusWall to work with squid and to scan HTTP
stream.
Viruswall and squid are installed on the same machine.
I want to put squid in front of users, so how to tell squid to redirect
every output stream to localhost on port
8080 (for example) where Viruswall is listening ??
Maybe I should use "cache_peer" but it seems a little complicated for what
I am looking for.
Thanks for all.
