what may be the problem ?
sometimes the user would have downloaded a 25mb file and the log file gives
the ip only in the 3rd field and a "-" in the 8th field ..

Raja.

I bet that those times with the -'s are reported as a 407,
or "proxy auth required".
Don't worry if they are - its just the users firing up a browser,
going somewhere and squid firing back a "you need to authnticate!".
Then they authenticate, and the rest is history :-)
