Hello,

The default install is already tuned to give good performance on as many
architectures as possible without any changes. To get better performance,
you might want to read the FAQ and through some mailing list archives.

This question gets asked a lot, but the way you put it would be rather
like asking a mechanic what your tyre pressures should be without telling
him the make of the car, the type of tyres you have installed, nor how
fast you intend to drive the car or whether you will be driving onroad or
offroad.

I always find, personally, that thinking and reading up as much as
possible, and then experimenting, will lead me to good answers. Note that
if you do not have a particularly high load cache (and a load is how many
requests/sec, not how many users) then you should be fine with the
defaults, you might just want to tune disk i/o parameters by recompiling
with diskd or aufs. But it's better to understand a little why you might
want to do that without just doing it blindly on advice.
