You mean you have a 80GB drive?
For best performance *avoid* swapping by sticking as much
memory into the box as needed (that depends on your
requirements...).

Subject: [squid-users] Size of Swap?
Good day!
I have a 80-Mb drive, and am planning on having it be my Squid server.
Running
with 512-Mb, a 1400Mhz processor, etc...
Currently, when I install using my installation disk, and using automatic
partitioning, the installer sets the swap (hda3) drive to a size of 1020-Mb.
My question is: how large should I make my swap (hda3) drive, to maximize
speed and efficiency? And how can I maximize the squid.conf file to take
advantage of this (probably larger) swap drive?
Thanks for the help rendered,
Ryan
