Search for "timeout" in squid.conf. It will be quite obvious which of
them you need to increase.. but it is possible the problem is not Squid
here.. (the default timeout for Squid is 15 minutes).
A good thing is probably to make your script output some kind of
progress indicator, to indicate that it is still alive. This can be as
simple as just sending a . every now and then (for example once every 10
seconds).
