[squid-users] Need help with these figures..

hi all,

in our linux box slackware 8.1 with kernel 2.4.20, squid 25s1, suddenly
the bite hit ration has gone into _negetive_ earlier which used to be
in tange of 30 to 40( for 5min)..

Cache information for squid:
         Request Hit Ratios: 5min: 26.6%, 60min: 27.3%
         Byte Hit Ratios: 5min: -69.4%, 60min: -53.5%
         Request Memory Hit Ratios: 5min: 24.1%, 60min: 13.9%
         Request Disk Hit Ratios: 5min: 36.3%, 60min: 35.6%
         Storage Swap size: 7378840 KB
         Storage Mem size: 65500 KB
         Mean Object Size: 10.45 KB
         Requests given to unlinkd: 3513

the only thing changed in conf file was-->

cache_replacement_policy lru (earlier heap LFUDA)
memory_replacement_policy lru (earlier heap LRU)

the figures are puzzling us becoz it showed a healthy byte hit
ratio(both with lru & heap LFUDA etc ).. its only for last 48 hours its
gone into negetive...
