[squid-users] i see squid run twice, one as nobody, the other as root. Why?

Morning,

ps -ax shows squid running as nobody and as root.

I thought commands below would disallow root to run squid.

chown nobody.nobody /usr/local/squid/var/logs
chown nobody.nobody /usr/local/squid/var/cache
