[squid-users] when will squid 3 stable be released

Hi,

i will have to setup a squid proxy on rhel4 for a customer within the
next month. The customer needs the access.log messages to be forwarded
to a remote syslog server. I noticed that syslog isn't supported for
access logging in squid 2, but will be supported in squid 3.

Now i have to decide if i ask the customer to wait for squid 3 or if i
take squid 2 yet and create a custom solution (some tail -F /var... |
awk '{pri... | logger -p...). for forwarding access.log's contents to
the local syslog server and using the local syslog server to forward to
the remote syslog server. So, when is squid 3 stable estimated to be
released? / Is there a chance that squid 3 stable will be released
within the next month?
