My sincere apologies for the late reply.
Squid stops responding everyday. I had enabled debug_options ALL,9 and
the cache.log file is huge.. which part of it do you want?

strace gives the following output.. it just waits and theres no response.
#strace -vp 4918
Process 4918 attached - interrupt to quit
wait4(-1,
