[squid-users] sibling between squid 2.7.9 and 3.2.

Hi all,
We currently have 4 squid's in http accelerator mode running version is
Squid 2.7.STABLE9 (used to improve Web server performance).
The idea for us is to move to 3.2 in order to make use of SMP Scalability.
The question is
can we have a sibling relation between Squid 2.7.STABLE9 and 3.2. ?
Or to make it more general,
is it possible to set sibling between different versions of squid ?
