[SQU] proxy auth program (samba?)

Hi all...

To have squid authenticate its users before they can surf....
it sounds like I need to have the proxy_auth turned on....
as well as use some kind of authentication program....(ncsa looks popular?)

my question... could I use samba to authenticate my users?
